A Perfect Pearl Day
Sydney, New South Wales Peter, Oct 14, 2005 12:00 AM
About an hour drive north on a sunny day is Pearl Beach. Unknown to the majority of Sydney siders until recent times. The day starts with a walk or run along the beach followed by a coffee and read of the papers. Lunch can be a casual affair perhaps sandwiches under the shade of your own umbrella or fish and chips from the take away. The day can be filled with swimming, sailing and fishing but one of the greatest pleasures is sitting on the terrace of Pearls on the Beach with a wine and a plate of seafood. Pearl Beach is less pretentious than Palm Beach which lies just across the water. What is also great is you can come for a day, a weekend or a week and once here you don?t need a car just enjoy the village atmosphere and many walks surrounding the area.
